Turn cancellations into care

I've been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2018. Over the years I've worked in group practices, private practice, and large healthcare organizations, and across every setting, one thing stayed the same.

Cancellations hurt.

In a group practice, a cancellation meant I walked away with little or nothing for that hour. The practice had its own cancellation policy, and I had no control over it. My income was at the mercy of a system I didn't design.

When I moved into private practice, I thought I'd finally have control. And in some ways I did. But when clients cancelled, especially multiple times in the same week, the financial hit was real. There was no system automatically working to fill that slot. It was on me to chase it down manually, and most of the time, the appointment just stayed empty.

I started thinking: why doesn't something exist that just handles this for us?

Therapists are already stretched thin. We didn't get into this field to spend our afternoons making phone calls and sending follow-up texts hoping someone fills a slot. We got into it to help people.
